Agent Team That Creates Application and Interview Questions by Comparing Job Postings with Work Experience

When the analysis lead extracts the requirements from the job posting, the writing lead receives the candidate's work experience and composes the application documents.

How it works

  1. Enter the job posting text and the candidate's work experience as --job-desc and --candidate, respectively. The default run includes sample postings and experience for demonstration.
  2. The analysis lead organizes the key required skills and expressions from the posting. The writing lead uses this analysis and the candidate's experience to draft a cover letter, highlight resume items, and prepare interview questions.
  3. The results are displayed in the terminal. There is no function to actually submit the application or send it to a recruiter.

Results

This is an example of connecting job posting analysis to the preparation of application documents. The author does not report any information about acceptance rates or actual application outcomes.

Notes

The original text also instructs the model to estimate a salary range, but it does not retrieve external salary data. The follow-along prompt here omits that estimation.

Create a tool that prepares application documents by entering the [job posting text] and [work experience you have verified]. Read the analysis and document preparation flow from the public example agents/18-job-application-agent, and provide guidance on the Python execution environment and API setup.

For each job requirement, link supporting sentences from your experience, then draft a cover letter, highlight resume items, and prepare interview questions. Do not fill in company names, job titles, years of experience, or performance figures not present in the input; instead, leave them as items to confirm. Exclude the original salary estimation request and only summarize the conditions you provided. Do not submit to job sites or send emails.

Test with examples where work periods overlap or required skills are missing, and check that you do not write as if you have experience you lack. Compare all achievement statements with the input experience. The output should include a table matching requirements to supporting evidence, a draft application document, interview questions, and a list of additional items to confirm. Distinguish between drafts that have been reviewed and actual completed applications.
