A Bot That Collects X Bookmarks Daily into a Searchable Knowledge Base

It synchronizes X bookmarks every day, lets the creator search or tag them through chat, and allows Grok Bot to use them as reference material.

How it works

  1. The creator built a dedicated bot with Grok Bot to organize X bookmarks that had only been piling up.
  2. The bot synchronizes bookmarks daily and makes them retrievable through search and filters.
  3. Users can favorite or tag items through chat, and Grok Bot uses the bookmarks as a knowledge repository.

Results

The creator published the bot they personally use as a template. They did not disclose specific figures such as the number of bookmarks or time saved.

Notes

The post does not say where the bookmarks are stored or what permissions are required to connect an X account.

Example prompt · Grok Bot

Turn my X bookmarks into a searchable knowledge repository that is collected every day.

Inputs: my X account [handle], storage location [for example: a file on the bot’s computer, Notion, Google Sheets], default tags [for example: AI, marketing, read later], synchronization time [for example: every day at 8:00 a.m.]. First, check whether my X account can be connected to read bookmarks and how many can be retrieved at once.

Process: 1) Retrieve all existing bookmarks and save the author, date, text, and link. 2) At the scheduled time each day, add only new bookmarks and skip posts already stored. 3) Support search, date and author filters, favorites, and tagging through chat. 4) When I ask a question, answer by finding supporting posts and links in the saved bookmarks. Do not delete bookmarks or post anything on X.

Deliverables: storage-location and usage guide, plus a daily synchronization routine. First test saving and searching with the 20 most recent bookmarks, and confirm that running the same synchronization twice does not create duplicates.
